CONSIDERING CROSSFIT? HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

 

We recently got a message from someone who hadn’t stepped into a CrossFit gym before but was eager to dive in. It got us thinking—this is the time of year when many people explore new fitness routines, so here’s some advice for anyone curious about CrossFit?

 

 

Here’s a quick breakdown to help you get started:

 

 

CrossFit Buntingford Has Evolved!

 

CrossFit gyms have come a long way. Predominantly, we do Instructor led classes offering 6 different times Monday to Friday, all with expert qualified coaches but that’s not all we offer!

 

 

We also have a mix of specialist classes with appropriate expertise leading them. @brioneyyoga takes you through a great session every Wednesday at 8pm. Like martial Arts? Try Adrian Crookendale’s Muay Thai 🥊on a Tuesday at 8pm.

 

 

Prefer body building? Dan Goodman's Strength and size classes on Mondays and Thursdays for expert guidance on what and how to do it, also at 8pm with a unique approach to bodybuilding. Spoiler alert- you get more done in a group than you ever would on your own 😉 

 

 

Then there’s HYROX. This new fitness race takes some conditioning to get ready for. We run two sessions on Thursday at 7pm and Sunday at 10am. Be prepared to sweat out a grueling session provided by HYROX UK.

 

 

Then there’s our Gymnastics class once per week on Thursday at 7pm. Come and build strength to help elevate your journey and get some cool movements in your locker, like Muscle Ups! For example. Learn the progressions step by step and amaze your friends😍 

 

 

Last but not least our Olympic Weightlifting classes on Thursday at 7pm. Learn the Clean and Jerk and snatch 🏋️🏋🏿‍♂️and pick up strength and conditioning training synonymous with every elite sport. 🤔 

 

 

But that’s not All! We offer open Gym outside our class times in the mornings 8- 9:30 and Sundays 8 to 12. These have a qualified coach on hand to support you too.

4. Starting Off Strong

 

The first few months are all about learning. Don’t rush into heavy weights or intense workouts—focus on refining your form and building confidence with foundational movements. Olympic lifting, in particular, has a steep learning curve, so patience pays off.
